What is Eleon
is the first innovative wind turbine-water pump designed in the form of kit, to extract water from the soil for household needs or small farmers. The concept follows the use of wind energy in order to transform it directly into mechanical energy, without using any kind of electrical component. The equipment was designed in the form of a kit so that it can be easily assembled and disassembled (to be relocated) by any person with a minimal level of mechanical knowledge. The project aimed for the whole assembly to be composed of as few moving mechanical elements as possible so that it has increased reliability, does not require complex and frequent maintenance or consumption of lubricants and other consumables.
We have taken into account the ever-increasing need for water in agriculture at a price as low as possible and with the best possible ecological impact. Even the manufacturing process of the components and sub-assemblies of the pump wind turbine has been designed in such a way that no waste or harmful emanations result from an ecological point of view. The wind turbine does not have a negative impact on the environment in the sense that does not have neither noise pollution nor does have danger to the living things in the environment.
We have, as perspective, the diversification of this type of turbine not only in terms of the water extraction capacity but especially that of covering a wider range of extracted water pressure, in this way it can be used even at greater depths.
The field of use extends from the extraction of water for domestic needs (especially in more isolated areas), the irrigation of some surfaces of greenhouses and solariums between 0.2 - 0.5ha / turbine, depending on the wind speed in the area as well as for the provision of drinking water in animal and bird farms or refreshing the water in fish ponds and residential pools.
Following the market analysis and the study of the meteorological maps that represent the situation of the presence and strength of the wind in the world, we found that there is a water requirement of 1.5 - 2% for small farms and private households.
